Rebate Programs

Here is a list of the rebate and incentive programs currently available for customers who install energy efficiency items at their home or business.


The easiest and simplest program is the:
PG&E SINGLE ITEM REBATE PROGRAM
Rebate based on sq ft or item installed…….Attic & Wall insulation, Water Heaters, Dish Washers, 
Clothes Washers, all listed in catalog
Can use with City program & EUC just don’t double dip
Must have PG&E heat source or Central A/C, Climate zone restrictions on attics
Home assessment or testing required…………………………………No-items installed must meet 
stated efficiency guidelines.


CITY OF UKIAH or HEALDSBURG REBATE PROGRAM
Rebate based on sq ft or item installed…………Attic & Wall Insulation, Windows, Duct Sealing, new 
A/C, Heat Pumps, Water Heater (electric), Blower 
Door, CFL’s, Solar
Can use on top of either PG&E program if have both.

Must have Central A/C or be installing A/C in job scope, have City electric.
Home assessment or testing required…………………………………No- items installed must meet 
stated efficiency guidelines.


PG&E EUC BASIC PROGRAM
Flat Rate rebate of $1,000 ………………….For a group of measures installed together. Must have 
HVAC duct seal and an attic insulation done as well as
air seal, thermostatic shower valve, w/h pipe wrap.

Reduced to $605 in the City of Ukiah/ Healdsburg
But can then also use City program if have Central A/C 
Must have a PG&E Heat source or PG&E Central A/C, and NO propane on site.
Home assessment or testing required…………No assessment, but must have CAS done and pass.
Items installed must meet stated efficiency guidelines.


PG&E EUC ADVANCE PROGRAM (Energy Upgrade California)
Rebates of $1500 to $4000…………………..Attic, Walls, Floor insulation. HVAC & Duct replacement, 
Windows. w/heater replacement, seal building leaks, CFL

Must have a PG&E Heat source or PG&E Central A/C, and NO propane on site
Home assessment or testing required………. YES- home assessment and CAS testing required.
Home assessments cost between $350-$700 
depending on where you live. Half is credited back
against work done & some cases full amt. is reimbursed
Home assessment provides a list of efficiency upgrades to the home in order of their cost effectiveness, and rebates are figured on amt. the upgrades potentially save in utilities. Rebates start at $1500 at 15% savings, increase in $500 increments for each 5% over 15%, max of $4000 at 40%


FINANCING- An EGIA member contractor can provide financing for energy efficiency items. The interest rate varies from about 5% to 12% depending on credit history and type of loan. Must not be underwater, must not have a second now.

SCEIP- Sonoma County Energy Independence program, for Sonoma Couty residents only. Easy to get loan, about 7%, when you sell the house the loan stays with it for the new owner to continue paying.
